About me
I am a person centred counsellor. This means I aim to focus my time and attention on you and what you want to talk about. I am passionate, and empathetic and believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is key. As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) I abide by their ethical framework and have experience in a range of issues.

Life can be tough and seeking help can be even harder. Are you struggling with overwhelming emotions? Depression? Anxiety? Shame? Guilt? Anger? Feeling lost, stuck or alone? Not feeling like yourself but not sure where to turn? I offer a confidential, friendly and safe space for you to explore and process the emotions that are disrupting your peace and work towards your personal goals - whether that be in the short, medium or long term.

I understand how much it may have taken to get this far and I will do everything I can to make the next steps as easy and comfortable as possible for you.
You can contact me either by phone, text or email (even just to ask any questions you have to ease any concerns). I will get in touch with you to offer a free 20 minute initial telephone consultation. It is important that you find the right counsellor for you and I'm here to answer any questions you may have. I provide face to face sessions where there is free street parking and can also offer telephone and video call sessions if this is more convenient.
Sessions usually last 50 minutes and cost £40 (25% discount available for students, trainee counsellors and benefits claimants able to provide proof by Students Union card or DWP letter.)

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
