About me

Do you ever feel that you are not listened to, misunderstood or not taken seriously? Leaving you with feelings of frustration or anger towards loved ones, friends, family and sometimes with yourself?

This can be a lonely time for you, feeling anxious, stuck and unable to see a way forward or see a brighter future, when all you want to feel is happy and content with your life.

Or maybe you are just settling for how things are and trying to accept "that's just life"? You may also be feeling like you do not deserve better or more than what you have and just get on with things in silence for fear of being judged or feeling guilty for wanting more out of life.

Is your gut feeling telling you that something is not right, and you want things to change? Then this may be the right place for you, the Counselling Directory is full of different types of counsellors. Choosing the right counsellor for you can feel quite daunting and overwhelming, so here is a little bit about me and what I can offer.

I am a Person centered Counsellor who is passionate about the work I do, spending time with people and listening to what they have to say, being with them until they find a way to move forward in a direction that is right for them and with more focus. My passion comes from my own, personal experience of counselling after trauma and childhood difficulties, counselling helped me to move forward in a more positive way and more understanding of myself and my needs.

I am a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am committed to the Ethical framework for good practice.

If you have any questions and would like to find out more you can email, text or ring me on the information here to arrange a time to talk, I will do my best to reply to any enquiries within 24 hours to make an appointment.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
