About me
My practice is focused on providing an empathetic, compassionate and non-judgmental space in which, together, we can support you to heal and grow. I specialise in helping people to create and navigate change in relationships, work and mental health.
Perhaps there are changes you want to make in your life, but feel there are barriers preventing you? Maybe you feel anxious, depressed, or disconnected from others. You might feel stuck in ways that you don’t understand.
Are you finding it difficult to cope with significant life changes? Perhaps you have become a parent, you are making a career change, a relationship is ending or changing, or you’ve suffered a bereavement?
My relational therapy is aimed at helping you to navigate these changes in your life to live in a more empowered and fulfilled way.
Relational therapy means we work together in a compassionate and safe way to look at barriers and difficulties, that may have roots in your past, and explore the ways that this shapes your present. It means building a trusting, safe and empathetic relationship and using that relationship to create lasting change in your life.
Making change in your life is hard. I’m here to support you in understanding yourself deeply, to safely explore patterns that have been holding you back and to help you transform into who you want to be.
How I work:
I practice Integrative Psychotherapy, which means that I draw on different therapeutic approaches to best suit your unique circumstances and needs. I will hear your story, meet you where you’re at and work with you to address your struggles. I offer a non-judgemental space to support your growth and resilience, whilst also expanding upon your existing strengths.
I am affirming of people of all backgrounds, all people of colour and all sexual and gender identities. Through working together we can unpick the ways in which different forms of oppression affect your mental health.
Deciding to enter into therapy is a brave decision, but often picking a therapist can be a hard task. You may want to address a specific issues in your life right now, or you may want to take a look at your life as a whole. Or both. I will guide you through this process.
I work face-to-face from Nottingham or remotely online. You can text, email or phone me with any questions and I offer a free telephone conversation to discuss what you are looking for.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a full clinical member of the UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapists) and a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have a MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.
I have experience providing long-term psychotherapy both within the NHS and with community based counselling services.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
