About me
Hello, I'm Bronwyn and I am a kind, warm and empathic psychotherapist with a passion for helping people with their mental health and wellbeing. I provide a therapy space that is safe and welcoming for clients to use however they feel they need to. Whether that's sharing their day-to-day anxieties, processing particular events that are happening at the moment, or work through trauma or passed experiences that may be troubling them.
I am able to help with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, relationship problems, bereavement, loneliness, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, stress, phobias and more.
Having trained as a pluralistic counselling, I follow a principle that each client is a unique individual, and that different clients need different things at different points in therapy. The therapeutic process is very collaborative, and we will work together to achieve what you want from therapy. Our sessions can be as flexible as you need - whether that's once a week or once a month; and there's no pressure to book another session after our initial sessions as it's very important you find a therapist that works for you.
Therapeutic Services
I have a lovely therapy room in Pontypridd town centre, just a short walk away from the train and bus station, with ample parking available. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to see if we're a good fit for each other. Therapy is a very personal process so it's important that you find the right therapist.
I offer in person, online or telephone sessions, with student rates and OAP rates available. Please feel free to get in touch via telephone, email or through my website www.landegjonescounselling.com.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
