MBACP, BA Counselling & Therapeutic Practice

About me

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope you find what you're looking for and welcome you to get in touch for a free 15 minute telephone consultation.

I am a genuine, kind, warm and empathic psychotherapist with a passion for helping people with their mental health and wellbeing. I provide a therapy space that is safe and welcoming, the space is yours. Whether it is a space to share your day-to-day anxieties, process particular events that are happening at the moment, or work through trauma or passed experiences that may be troubling you.

Having trained as a pluralistic counselling, I follow a principle that each client is a unique individual, and that different clients need different things at different points in therapy. The therapeutic process is very collaborative and we will work together to achieve what you want from therapy.

I am a fully insured therapist and a registered member of the BACP,  working towards accreditation.  I have experience working with clients throughout the lifespan via face-to-face, online and telephone at organisations such as Mind Cwm Taf Morgannwg and USW Therapy, as well as private practice after receiving my qualification.  Alongside counselling I work as a SEN Support Worker at various schools across South Wales.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
