Hello, we are a small team of highly skilled & fully accredited Psychotherapists, providing 100% remote psychotherapy and trauma services throughout the UK.
Our services include: CBT and blended Psychotherapy; Trauma Therapy and EMDR, Psychotherapy for insomnia & Schema therapy.
We are a warm team of therapists providing compassionate, non-judgemental and effective therapy online. As a team we all have experience providing specialist psychological services within the NHS and also through other organisations, and bring our in-depth and varied experience to helping you with any mental health difficulties that you may be facing. We can help with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Low self-esteem, OCD, burnout & stress, relationship difficulties, anger management, feeling empty/without direction, chronic health issues and much more.

Hello, my name is Elaine, and I am the Director of Birch Therapy Clinic. I have over a decade experience working in Mental health services, delivering high-quality therapy throughout various NHS Trusts, including IAPT, Secondary care, Complex PTSD services, and private clinics such as the Priory Hospital Group.
I specialise in treating psychological trauma, specifically Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) and also chronic health conditions. I have clinical experience working within a specialist NHS service treating complex and chronic health issues, such as: CFS/ME, Fibromyalgia, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
My specialism in working with chronic illness extends to those living with auto-immune conditions, such as Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). I am an active member of the Crohn’s and Colitis UK charity and have also been an independent expert contributor for the charity’s Mental Health Review.
My team at Birch Therapy Clinic are all fully accredited and skilled in their own specialist areas of expertise, which include:

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
