About me
We all experience difficult seasons in our lives and need support to help us to make sense of what’s going on. You may be feeling confused, angry, or deeply sad, or you may be experiencing a sense of numbness, blocked off from your feelings.
Are you struggling to cope with a loss, feeling confused and alone, and needing some confidential space and support on your grief journey?
Grieving is a natural process, but sometimes we can feel overwhelmed. There may be a part of us that says, "I should be coping," because of family expectations. These behaviours can be unhelpful and lead to suppression of deep emotional wounds. Talking and exploring feelings in a safe environment is a process of healing. Occasionally it comes to light that our grief has triggered unmet needs from previous losses or trauma. Talking through such issues can be so helpful.
Are you experiencing anxiety, which is affecting your relationships, work, college, and other areas of your life? I know how this can bring a sense of hopelessness and uncertainty. Low self-esteem can be a spiral of negative feelings, which can lead to behaviours we feel ashamed about. The symptoms (behaviours) act like firefighters, protecting us from the deep emotional pain we are experiencing. I can reassure you that sharing in a confidential and non-judgemental space will bring relief. I will listen to your difficulties and offer my support and understanding. Gradually, through your therapeutic journey, you will feel stronger and want to explore positive coping strategies to help you to feel grounded and more equipped to understand how your own needs are met.
I also recognise that trust takes time, particularly if you have felt let down by other relationships in the past and present. I believe that through our sessions, you will gradually find a sense of peace and acceptance of yourself, as well as inner healing and better management of your circumstances. Ultimately, this is about you finding your path to self-healing, which will empower you and bring back joy and fulfilment to your life.
It takes courage to reach out, but do contact me when you feel ready.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
