About me

Anxious? Depressed? Fearful? Lost? Bereaved? Abused? Downtrodden? Angry? Overthinking? Unhappy? With kindness, support and encouragement, I believe I can help you.

There are many reasons to seek out therapy but whichever reason it is, it matters because YOU matter. It may be trauma from the past, problems in the present or fears for the future but each one is valid and something we could work on together.

I am a qualified counsellor, who wants to work with you, to offer a safe place with warmth and kindness, to voice what concerns you. Nothing is too big or too small. I can help, support and encourage you to come to a place which is more fulfilling for you, a place where you can you can be a happier version of yourself, to feel more in control and to have better relationships with friends and family.

I will offer you a place where you will not be judged but respected, valued and heard. It is a place to be yourself as you want to be. I will offer you empathy and understanding empowering you to find hope and light once more.

I work holistically as I believe mind, body and spirit are linked and health in one of these areas, can bring health to another.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor, drawing mainly from Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic and Christian Therapy.

I have a lot of experience working with adults of all ages both in person and online.

I work with students from colleges and universities both in person and on line; these sessions are offered at student discounts.

I have experience working with all age groups from children and young people in Schools and youth groups.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
