Are you feeling overwhelmed, low, stuck, or uncertain? Perhaps you’re caught in repeating patterns, looping negative thoughts, anxiety without cause, relationship struggles, feeling misunderstood by others, having difficult memories from the past or confusion on what the future holds.
Whether it’s your first time seeking therapy or you have tried before, my approach is unique—holistic, forward-thinking, and emotionally-oriented. I offer a supportive space that allows you to explore the past, understand the present, and shape your future.
Lasting change is challenging, and traditional therapy can feel hard. Techniques you have used in the past may lack long-term impact, leaving you feeling low. Insights might feel unclear or even too overwhelming at times, and perhaps your previous therapists were a bit distant, or not aligned with you.
My approach is relational, with a unique blend from different forms of Counselling, Compassion-Focused and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, which allowed me to create a collaborative method of clinical work, with its four core values:
- It is centred on you and your desire for moving forward, the wish to make sense of your past and to overcome life’s current obstacles and internal conflicts.
- It is a working relationship between me and you that is respectful, healing and generative.
- It allows for openness and honesty which go both ways, and it is built on mutual trust.
- It can have a couple of practical tools, but mostly it fosters a space for purposeful and meaningful insights - hopefully helping you become rebalanced within yourself, and empowered enough to generate and action change.
The whole point of psychotherapy for me is that I believe in the power of insights, also that everyone can lead a fulfilling life as a result of them. Think of our work as a journey— but you are the one holding the compass. I will listen deeply, remain beside you so you can express yourself freely, gently challenge your assumptions, offer at times an alternative perspective and help you to uncover your strengths.
I’m open to working with whatever you bring. My experience includes:
Anxiety * Depression * Grief * Loss * Stress * Burnout * Trauma * Life transitions * Dissociation * Immigration and cultural challenges * Disordered eating * Family issues * Relationship issues * Low self-esteem * Low-moods * Low-confidence * Career and Life changes * LGBTQ+ groups * Gay subcultures * Open relationships * Alternative relationship dynamics *
Somethings about me:
I volunteered for many years at a reputable local charity which provides affordable Counselling to a wide range of individuals in our local community, who wouldn't have access to private practice otherwise.
I am an Associate Counsellor at the University of Oxford, and offer Counselling to students from graduate to postdoc programmes from all over the world, from different age groups and needs.
I also volunteered as a Domestic Violence Adviser for Reducing the Risk, a local independent service which supports individuals at high risk of significant harm or trauma due to abuse.
Before working full-time as a Psychotherapist / Counsellor, I spent 12 years in Corporate RH and Consulting, and a few of those working as Head of Department. That has given me an understanding to the pressures of high-performance environments.
I am a researcher at heart, and I proudly remain an International Scientific Board Member at the Journal of Psychology from the Sao Paulo State University (UNESP)
Currently, I am furthering my advanced studies in Psychodynamic Practice with the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), a qualification which is allowing me to refine and develop my skills in supporting you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
