About me
I specialise in working with clients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome / ME (which I recovered from 20 years ago). Having suffered from ME in the late 1980’s, when little was known or understood about this condition, I have insight into the challenges chronic fatigue brings. I am also experientially aware of the stigma attached to this condition. As a result, I am able to support people with empathy.
I have worked with personal injury clients and their families for over ten years and more recently supported people with long Covid. I am also experienced in supporting people with depression, anxiety, trauma, the transgender process, domestic violence and terminal illness.
Currently I work online and offer video or phone calls, so you can share whatever you choose to bring to your sessions. Both short term and open ended therapy sessions are available. Most clients choose a series of six weekly sessions.
Past experience and trauma can manifest as problems with anxiety and depression in the here and now. The Client-therapist relationship offers a unique opportunity to explore our habitual patterns, emotional processes, relationships and better ways to communicate. We have the capacity to change as a result of new awareness.
I have a warm compassionate approach and will support you in pursuit of your aspirations, meeting challenges, and coming to decisions about how you want to live your life.It takes courage to embark on this journey. Whatever brings you to counselling we can explore together.
Taking the next steps...
To book a session, you can give me a call, send me an email or even send a text if you prefer.
Once I have contacted you for an introductory call, we have agreed a time for your counselling session and I have received your completed contract and payment, I will make a video call or phone call to you - whichever you prefer. At the end of our 50 minute session you will have the option to book again at the same time the following week.
