About me

I am a humanistic, integrative therapist. In plain English, this means I provide a respectful, empathic, and non-judgemental space where you will be able to explore your emotions, thoughts, feelings, and actions. Together we will look at making sense of your past, explore what is troubling you in the present moment and work towards securing a future you can look forward to and embrace.

Through our sessions, I aim to help you gain new insights and a clearer understanding of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and thought processes. My mantra is to empower you become the best version of yourself. And, to that end, I usually won’t offer advice or tell you what to do, as I believe the expert in our relationship is you!

I mainly work in a Person-Centred way and the counselling I provide reflects this.
I also offer Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Transactional Analysis (TA) if a client requests these, or I feel they may be of benefit.

During your initial consultation session we can discuss these approaches and decide which is most suitable. Please ask for more details if you need any information on any or all of the above therapeutical methods.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
