About me
I am a warm, caring humanistic therapist, registered with the BACP. I welcome people of all ages (16+) and identities. I am LGBT QIA+ affirmative and part of the community myself.
I can support you with issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, relationship problems, trauma and abuse.
Perhaps you are looking for a therapist because you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or low. Perhaps you are here because you would like to find support on your journey recovering from abuse, or you are currently struggling with a relationship in your life. Or you may be here because you have noticed a tendency to people-please in yourself that is getting in the way of your well-being, and you would like to be able to set clearer boundaries and listen to your own needs more.
I strongly believe that within the safety of a trusting counselling relationship, we can find clarity and a way to move forward, towards healing and growth. I am here to support you on your journey.
What to expect:
My approach is rooted in person-centred humanistic counselling. This means that as a therapist, I work with what you bring to the sessions, and you decide what you want to talk about. You are the expert on yourself and your life. I won’t give you advice, but I will bring an empathic, engaged and authentic presence to our interactions.
I work in a trauma-informed way: creating a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship in which you feel able to share things you may not have spoken about before takes time, and I commit to sitting with you in that space. This also means exploring things at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I will regularly invite you to review our work together, to ensure the counselling is meeting your needs and we are working in a way that suits you.
I welcome feedback and my aim as a counsellor is to be open and approachable.
My approach also includes relational work: when it feels useful, I explore the here-and-now of the therapeutic relationship with you in a supportive, collaborative way, to help you further explore the issues you bring to counselling.
- Please note I currently only have availability for online and telephone sessions.
- I speak English, French and Dutch and can offer therapy in any of these languages.
Please feel free to ask me for more details of how I work. The best way to contact me is by sending me an email here.
I offer a free initial call for us to discuss what you are looking for and to establish if we are a good fit for each other.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
