I am a fully qualified Psychosynthesis therapeutic counsellor and life-coach with 15 years experience in private practice. I practise from an integrative perspective drawing on the Transpersonal, Gestalt, Humanistic, CBT, Mindfulness, Psycho-energetic and Holistic approaches.
I place a great emphasis on the building of the therapeutic relationship. Henceforth, a safe haven is created for the client to explore their difficulties whilst cultivating self-compassion and harvesting insights thus ultimately enabling them to make wiser and healthier decisions/changes in their lives.
The aim of Integrative Psychosynthesis counselling and coaching is to facilitate the transformation of the conflicts and obstacles that block one's inherent sense of harmony within. In other words, this Integrative approach is designed to help individuals reconnect to a sense of meaning and purpose in their lives, which is so essential to a sense of well-being and a life enhanced with joy and serenity.
Indeed, suffering and distress often arise as a result of living our lives according to outmoded patterns of thinking and behaving that no longer serve us hence becoming obstacles to growth and inner peace.
I will seek to help you identify and transform such obstacles as a way of moving towards your deeper Self and highest potential. To assist this exploration, I will at times invite guiding techniques - visualisations and imagery, dreamwork, Gestalt role-play, meditation or drawing - which can harness the potential for healing and restore meaning and purpose in your life.
At other times, I will listen your story actively ( reflecting back to you, helping you look at the underlying psycho-dynamics) always with care, respect and compassion.
My approach is hence greatly influenced by the Integrative Psychosynthesis model which is designed to explore all aspects of the individual - mental/physical/spiritual/emotional concerns- in a creative approach to personal and professional growth.
An initial session will be an opportunity to discuss what you would like to explore and hope to achieve as well as being an opportunity for us to meet and see if we could work together.
