About me
Managing a career or running a successful business can be both rewarding and challenging at the same time. You set the goals, you are smashing through them and yet there seems to be something missing with each achievement. In addition, there are people looking up to you, family depending on you, life’s demands and you can’t afford to take your eye off any of the balls. It is a constant juggling act. There is so much at stake and ‘failure’ is not an option. You have worked hard to get to where you are today in your career or business and yet you are not really enjoying life.
Therapy can help you gain control of what is going on with your emotions, so you can feel less anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed and develop a deep sense of calm. I offer a non-judgmental safe space for you to get through whatever challenges you may be facing or work on your personal development and self-awareness to create a new you that you love.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, have a Bsc Psychology degree and working towards my Master's in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. Before my career change, I spent over 15 years working as a chartered accountant and owned a practice supporting business owners.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
