About me
Hi, my name is Tracey, thank you for clicking on my profile. I am an Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor, I offer a calm, empathic, non-judgemental and confidential safe place for you to talk about whatever difficulties you are experiencing.
Everyone’s counselling experience is unique and I will ensure that what we do is tailored specifically for you. I am here for you, to help you and to get you to where you want to be. Working collaboratively can help find new ways of tackling obstacles, foster your sense of autonomy, and assist in empowering you to adapt negative behaviour patterns.
For the past 6 years, I have been working with one of the UK’s leading domestic abuse charities helping individuals who are in or who have suffered domestic abuse. Along with this and from my own experiences, I have a passion for helping individuals overcome narcissistic abuse
Shame and self blame from narcissistic abuse can prevent individuals from seeking help, questioning themselves, why they didn’t see it? Why did they let it go on so long? Feeling like they have lost the person they used to be.
If you feel it’s time to take your power back and move on with your life, then I can help:
To understand how someone could deliberately cause you pain
To find closure after what you’ve been through
To break the cycle of unhealthy relationships in your life
To co-parent with your narcissistic ex
To avoid falling for another narcissist
To stop hurting and start living again
I also have extensive experience in couples counselling, helping individuals and couples lead happy and healthier lives together. Often one partner is more resistant to outside help, but once they are in the room with me they tend engage honestly and openly. By working together to understand what has been lost and understand why this is so for each person aids in bringing a couple closer and feel more connected a than they have ever felt before.
Additionally I also have extensive experience with many other issues, including grief, loss, health issues, anxiety, lack of self-esteem and confidence.
In addition to my counselling experience, I have been a pilot for a major UK airline flying all over the world for the last 20 years and I want to assure you that if you decide to embark on this journey with me you will be in a safe pair of hands. I work collaboratively with all my clients helping to equip them with the tools and techniques that I have learnt throughout my counselling and aviation journey.
I am an integrative therapist where first and foremost I use Person Centred Counselling to put you in the driving seat, I also utilise other models, including CBT and Transactional Analysis to help facilitate positive change. Together we can explore the best way forward for a happier and healthier you.
I work with both individuals and couples.
Testimonials:
When I felt like I had no where to turn, and that no one understood Tracey provide me with the space I needed to talk, she listened and helped me to re-discover me. LK
After coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship my confidence was at an all time low, with Tracey’s empowering approach I was able to regain my confidence and realise I could move and did move on. JP
Childhood trauma had caught up with me, I felt I couldn’t put it back in the box. With Tracey’s help I was able to process what had happened to me in the past and regain autonomy. AD
Having never undertaken therapy before it was hard to know what to expect but Tracey made the sessions as easy as they could be. I felt that Tracey challenged my view point strongly enough to help me recognise changes and improvements that were within my control. I was always impressed by Tracey’s memory for the things I/we told her without ever needing to write anything down. This was reassuring and the mark of an excellent listener. AP

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
