About me

My name is Tracey and I am a qualified and BACP Registered Integrated Therapist.  I offer Person Centred Counselling, CBT and Psychodynamics which all bring a wide range of key skills - therefore I am able to tailor therapy to suit your own individual needs. I am caring, friendly with a calming nature and I value the relationship that we will build together as this is the foundation that will encourage a deeper understanding of your needs.

I am here to help you when you are feeling that life has become overwhelming and you are finding that issues are simply weighing you down.  Life experiences can happen in so many ways - from the vulnerabilities of childhood through to the challenges of adulthood.

Between us we can unravel and understand why things have become so difficult at this time. I am passionate about helping those who seek support for a range of distressing issues such as anxiety, trauma, stress, childhood issues, bereavement or relationship issues. Therefore your experience (although starting your journey with many mixed emotions), my aim is for you to work through this in a safe and honest space which will soon start to present itself as something that you can empower and understand. Thus coming through the other side with strength, resilience and kindness towards yourself.

The one thing I ask of all my clients is to be as open and honest as they can in order to benefit from our work together.  Openness and honesty help in building up our therapeutic relationship as it builds trust and consistency. I understand that this can be difficult at first but once we build a rapport, the shift in emotions can be both cleansing and rewarding - particularly if feelings of optimism have not been felt for some time. Your experience will be felt with true acceptance, non-judgement and in a space where you can explore the situation from a new direction.

I am looking forward to speaking with you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
