About me

Is anxiety interfering with your daily life? Does your smile hide a deep sadness that you cannot shift? Are you exhausted from trying to hold things together for everyone else's benefit? I can help you find a way to overcome your struggles and heal from your pain so that you can regain some balance and feel calmer, happier and more confident.

*I AM CURRENTLY NOT TAKING ON NEW CLIENTS *

What I can offer

I can offer you a space of unconditional acceptance, understanding and empathy, where you will be truly heard, without judgement. Together, we will work at your pace to shed light on the discontent you are experiencing, which can provide a powerful healing experience.

Within our sessions, I will offer you support and the space to speak freely and honestly about how you are feeling.  You will take the lead, but I will be at your side, lighting the way and providing you with a safety net and a place to explore your options and their possible consequences.

My aims:

  • To be a genuine companion on your healing journey.
  • To gently challenge any unhelpful thoughts.
  • To help unlock your inner strength.
  • To empower you to grow in confidence.
  • To help you to find a happier, more satisfying way of living and being.

My ways of working:

As a person-centred counsellor, I truly believe that we all have the innate ability to heal and grow. I will not give you advice or try to change you in any way. Rather, I will provide a confidential environment where with me by your side, you can figure out what changes you wish to make and how they can be implemented.

I am a huge advocate of using creative methods to unlock the subconscious. I offer a range of creative interventions to help you explore difficult emotions, thoughts or experiences.  This is perfect for those times when the words don't come, or they are too painful to say out loud.  I understand that the use of creative interventions are not for everybody, so it will always be your choice whether you want to work in this way or not.

As part of my own healing journey, I practice mindfulness and meditation. I have been amazed and inspired by the many benefits that it brings. This is something further I can offer, if you feel it would be beneficial.

Finding the right counsellor for you

The most important thing when choosing a counsellor is that you find someone who you feel comfortable and at ease with. Only then will you feel safe enough to share your story and open your heart with honesty.

I offer a free initial consultation of 20 minutes, which will help us to work out whether I am the right counsellor for you.

If you choose to move forward in therapy with me, there are no minimum or maximum number of sessions. You decide how many sessions you need and how often you have them.

I realise that this is a big decision and one that you may have only just starting considering or have been thinking about for a long time.  Either way, I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about counselling.

Feel free to call or text me on 07858382076, or email me here

I always aim to respond to you within 24 hours and you will be under no obligation to begin your therapy journey with me.
