About me

I am here to hear you.

Thankyou for visiting my profile. I am a fully qualified Person Centred Counsellor based in Lewes, East Sussex. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to their code of ethics.

I believe that you are the best expert on yourself and I aim to provide you with the counselling support you need. You can bring anything you want to talk about as the focus is on you, whether it's present day troubles or something bothering you from your past.

I invite you to enter a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to help you explore your feelings, frustrations, sadness, happiness and reflect so we can pave a way forward together. Let me walk beside you as we unravel and discover the real you inside and I can help you find the calmness and inner peace within you. You deserve to enjoy life everyday.

I have experience working with people from all areas of life and with issues of mental health problems,  depression, anxiety, low confidence, low self worth and medical problems. I work 2 days a week as a NHS nurse so I am familiar with 'medical jargon'. I am also a Christian and I am happy to incorporate prayer and Biblical input into our session if you would like this.

I continue to attend numerous short courses and training as part of my ongoing professional development.

I offer 50 minute sessions over the phone or video link.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
