Susie Hoogland MBACP Reg NHS Cert CBT Adults Children young People CPCAB Carers
Hi, my name is Susie,
I'm easy to talk to and non judgemental. Well done for getting this far with seeking help!
What ever is troubling you Im here to support you. I work with all age ranges from school age to university students right through to people in their 90s.
We can use CBT and or conventional counselling. I currently work as a counsellor for the NHS which has given me a wealth of experience.
I can help you overcome many things including; Anxiety and Panic, Worry, Anger, Guilt, Sexual issues and abuse,Depression, Loss, Loneliness, , Relationship issues, Low confidence, and self esteem and mood.
Perhaps sadly you have lost someone very special.
Life can make us feel very low for many of reasons. Knowing you are not alone is the beginning to making the pain or overwhelmed feelings bearable, taking these first steps is your first step in sharing the pain and the hurt.
Together we can find a way forward.
Home visits can be arranged in certain circumstances.
If you are a a carer or young carer who needs time to come up for air I am registered on he council website and can provide free counselling.
I am commited to supporting you with what ever is bringing you to this site today. I am trained and qualified as a integrative humansitic counsellor which means this whole process has you at its centre.
I can use many approaches including mindfulness (indoors or outside near the beach or within nature) to help you to unravel and build upon your experiences both past and current. I am also CBT qualified which is also proven to have great outcomes for in a host of areas such as anxiety and motivation.
You are a uniquie person deserve to feel supported at ease, stress free and happy in the world you chose to live in.
"Life is often painful. How come some people can just seem to bounce back? We can all too easily just put up with what's bothering us ignoring our inner feelings and thus never really understanding ourselves or our lives. My strength is my capacity to build relationships, enabling you to feel safe, supported, understood and never judged. Years of knowledge and experience are there to be drawn upon to help you achieve your desire for peace, self awareness and positive change. Helping you to care for yourself."
The bedrock of my practice comes from the #Rogerianesque' belief that we were all born beautiful unique human beings and even though life has torn through us and made us lose our way AND our selves, under the layers of all those experiences our inner self is still there shinning and just as beautiful as the day we were born waiting to emerge!
I believe that our behaviour and feelings today are often shaped by our early years or by life and events happening now. "By looking at these together it is possible to unravel long established patterns or hurts to find the real you. With support this inner, bruised you can be nurtured and gently reintroduced to the world. If It feels right sometimes this could be done together by walking in nature or being somewhere in a supported way that has meaning for you".
