About me

I am a dedicated and experienced psychotherapist offering comprehensive services both in person and online in the Kings Cross, the City and Golders Green areas of London.  My approach is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and while I primarily engage in open-ended, longer-term therapy, I also provide time-limited sessions for up to 12 weeks.  With a diverse range of expertise, I specialise in addressing anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, identity and relationship issues.  One of my particular interests lies in family constellation work and I adopt a systemic perspective when exploring individual challenges that arise from inter-generational trauma.  I help people of all ages and backgrounds.   I am accepting new clients, please email me to set up a free exploratory phone call.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified and professional psychodynamic psychotherapist having completed the four year training required for the Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at WPF Therapy, one of London's longest established and most respected counselling and psychotherapy training institutions.  I maintain professional indemnity insurance to ensure the highest standards of care and confidentiality for my clients and adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards outlined by both the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

As a psychotherapist I draw my previous work experience working as an occupational psychologist for over two decades and as such I have a special interest in integrating mental health considerations within the workplace.  In addition to my expertise in psychotherapy, I also possess proficiency in executive coaching, leadership development and interview preparation.  By combining these disciplines, I offer a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals in their personal and professional growth.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
