About me

You're already on your way; I'll meet you where you are.

Walk & talk therapy and office based sessions in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Online therapy throughout the UK for adults 18+

There are times when wish the world would stop spinning just for a moment so we can catch our breath; there are also seasons of life where we feel stuck. Transitions can be expected phases of life: moving somewhere new, relationships, parenthood, menstruation and menopause, retirement. Or transitions can be unexpected: career change, loss, bereavement, divorce, other sudden changes in plan. Whether expected, unexpected, or somewhere in between, life transitions can affect our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Life events may even influence our sense of self and identity.

I aim to offer a safe and confidential therapeutic relationship to help you make sense of your experience: the transition itself and the accompanying thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Not all therapy is characterised by prescribed solutions or advice; the approaches I use centre the process of self-empowerment and self-understanding leading to organic, committed change.

Whether you need short-term support to cope with a transition or are looking to better understand long-term patterns in your life, I hope to provide a non-judgemental space for you to explore and develop the skills you feel would help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified in the United States in 2018 and have experience working with teenagers, adults, and older adults in after school programs, universities, senior centres, and care homes. Since relocating to the UK and receiving accreditation by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), I have dedicated my time to both voluntary therapy provision and the development of Willow & Thyme. I have volunteered with Footsteps Counselling and Care, a charity supporting people affected by traumatic birth, loss of a baby, fertility problems, and pregnancy related mental health needs, and Essential Space, a pay-what-you-can Community Interest Company with specialist services for the LGBTQ+ community. Regardless of how and why we meet, the relationship we build is both entirely unique and essential to our work together.

Additional information

To make finding the right therapist for you a bit easier, I offer a complimentary 30 minute consultation. During this time I will tell you a bit more about myself and you will have the opportunity to do the same. This is not a traditional session, but an opportunity for us to decide to work together.

Sometimes, instead of offering a therapy agreement at the end of the consultation, I will provide referral information to help you find someone who can better fit your needs. Not all therapists are trained to help with every need. This is not a reflection of you; referrals are a way of pointing you in the direction of someone better trained for your specific experience.

I offer regular weekly, fortnightly, or monthly sessions depending on what you're looking to achieve in our work together.

Please note that reduced rate sessions are currently at full capacity. If you’d like to be placed on the waitlist, please get in touch.

Please note that evening availability for walk and talk sessions will vary throughout the year as we need daylight to safely guide our way.
