About me

I am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (CBT) with the British Association for Cognitive & Behavioural Therapies (BABCP). Similarly I am a fully accredited EMDR Europe practitioner with the EMDR Association UK & Ireland & EMDR Europe. I have many years experience in working for the NHS across nine different NHS trusts spanning the breadth of the north of England.

I hold a special interest and have lots of experience working with complex trauma, survivors of childhood & adult sexual abuse & sexual violence, dissociation and single event traumas also. Additionally I have worked with a wide range of anxiety, mood & personality disorders e.g. OCD, Panic Attacks/Disorder, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Pain/Fatigue, Specific Phobias, Body Dysmorphia, Clinical Perfectionism, Anger, Low Self Esteem, Self Injurious Behaviours, Dissociative Episodes, issues associated with emotional, physical & sexual abuse and other Psychological problems not listed. I offer a realistic, experienced and honest service and i work hard alongside my clients to get the results they choose to aim for.

Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS)
MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (Pending).
Post Graduate Diploma (MSc Level 7) in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
BSc Honours (First Class) Counselling & Psychology.
ABC Levels 2 & 3 in Counselling Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills and Practice.

British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists.

BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
