About me

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to view my profile. I realise how anxiety provoking it can be to take those first steps to seeking help and aim to make the journey as easy as possible.

For all the qualifications and different theoretical standpoints, for me, counselling and psychotherapy is about the relationship of trust between the client and the therapist. What I offer is compassion from a non-judgmental perspective as well as openness and authenticity.  This foundation allows us to explore your world and enables a fresh outlook to be gained, one from which personal growth is made possible.

I currently have rooms in Lichfield and Burntwood and only offer face to face counselling as I want you to have the best experience of therapy. Sessions are for 1 hour, with an initial free 30 minute introductory session to see if we would be a good fit to work together. This can be booked via text or email.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Counselling and Psychotherapy Principles and Practices - 1st Class Honours.
  • Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy - PG Certificate
  • Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy - PG Diploma
  • Master of Science in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy - Distinction

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
