About me
I offer supportive, confidential, non-judgemental proactive counselling in a warm, comfortable, safe environment. I work mainly from a Pluralistic approach meaning that I truly believe in a person’s ability to grow and develop in the way that is best for them and by integrating approaches to counselling such as psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT we can work together to get you to a better place. I have found that many problems have their roots buried in past experiences, yet my approach is always flexible, client centred and focused primarily on client growth.
Issues I have helped people with include; self-esteem, bereavement and grief, anxiety, stress, couples, shame, anger, abuse, low mood, emotional difficulties, parenting, dating, panic attacks and relationship difficulties. I also offer particular expertise in supporting both young people and their parents navigate those challenging teen years.
Often reaching out for help feels impossible, but in seeking support you have taken the first step towards understanding your feelings, emotions and behaviours. As a counsellor, I won’t judge you or tell you what to do. I will listen, work with you to identify your own goals and provide you with the empathy and understanding you may need to find answers.
