About me

Choosing a counsellor you want to work with can sometimes be difficult. Having worked with the body for over 20 years, I pride myself in taking a collaborative approach to both mind and body.

Embarking upon a journey of self-discovery and healing can be challenging especially in the fast paced World we live in. I am here to support you along this journey, providing a confidential non-judgemental environment. I aim to empower you to overcome obstacles and unlock your inner potential whilst maintaining your autonomy and agency.  This safe space allows you to explore your thoughts and emotions whilst being able to understand where anxiety or trauma might be sitting in your body. I work from an integrative background meaning I have knowledge and experience in all major theories.

Counselling doesn’t have to feel groundbreaking. It can be as simple as understanding your patterns of behaviour, why you react the way you do, why you feel the way you do. It can be as in depth as you want it to be. As a client you lead the way and together we work through anything you bring in each session with no obligation.

Having a specialist interest in the Vagus nerve I am able to work with you to nourish and regulate your nervous system, further enhancing your ability to make sense of your concerns and troubles.

I have worked with people with anxiety and pain for 20 years, including working abroad within the Mental health field. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, existential crisis, trauma, attachment troubles and many other symptoms, concerns and experiences.

The impact my own therapy had for me was so powerful that it was the driver to train to be a therapist. Having been on this journey myself I can truly empathise.

Please contact me on 07931 552 508 to have a preliminary conversation to see if we are a good fit.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
