About me

I am an integrative Individual and Relationship counsellor.

I have 10 years experience working with a range of client issues including stress and anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma and self worth and confidence. I have specialist training in relationships issues; including infidelity, communication, sexual health and behaviour, trauma. I have personal experience and specialist training in Menopause, ADHD and Autism

Life can feel overwhelming at times and it can be difficult to manage the challenges it brings. I offer a safe space to explore yourself as an individual and/or as part of a unit, allowing you to make sense of your feelings, sensations, behaviours and experiences.

I work in a professionally confidential manner; providing a safe, non judgemental and trusting environment for clients to explore their issues. I will offer you understanding, empathy, patience and respect throughout your therapeutic journey with me and if appropriate, support tools to set yourself up to further succeed in life.

Email or call to book your free 30 minute initial consultation, this time will allow opportunity to meet each other and ensure that we are best suited to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Person Centred counsellor who is also trained in Relationships therapy, Autism and ADHD, CBT, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, Transactional Analysis, Inner Child, Reiki and Gestalt; this enables me to draw from a variety of modalities to work integratively with clients.

I have 10 years of experience working with Individuals and Couples in both long term and short term counselling services. During this time I have supported clients work through a variety of personal and relationship issues.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
