About me

Do you feel like you're stumbling through your day-to-day? Find it near impossible to tell people no, even when you know you should? Does it feel like you're stuck, no matter what you try to do?

It can feel incredibly lonely trying to deal with everything, and you might feel like you're the only person who feels this way. Let me tell you that despite how it seems, you're definitely not alone in facing these challenges. Loads of people out there are dealing with similar things, and therapy can be your secret weapon for tackling it all.

I know reaching out for help can feel like a big leap, but trust me, it's a really important act of self-love. It's like opening a door to a whole world of growth, self-awareness, and positivity.

So, what can I help you with? Well, I'm all about helping people like you set boundaries, find their voice, and chill out without feeling guilty. Plus, I'm here for you if you're wrestling with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, or shame.

When we chat, it's all about you. I provide a safe, totally confidential space where you can fully explore your experiences. We'll dig deep, get to know you better, and figure out how you can become the awesome person you're meant to be.

As for how we work in our sessions, it's all about teamwork. I'm not here to boss you around – we're in this together. I'll be by your side, using a range of different approaches, but mainly focusing on what's called a person-centred approach. Basically, it's all about building a solid relationship based on trust and respect, so you feel completely comfortable  opening up to me.

Sound good? Let's chat! Hit me up for a free consultation, and let's kickstart your journey to a calmer, clearer you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a  Postgrad Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London and combine this with over a decade of experience working in education and charities with young people, promoting wellbeing and good mental health.

I have experience offering both short term and open ended therapy both in person and online in a range of settings including university and a low cost therapy service.

I also ensure I keep my skills up to date by undertaking continual professional development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
