About me

Welcome!

I provide a safe and supportive environment where you are valued and accepted for who you are. My approach, rooted in humanistic principles, empowers you to explore your challenges without judgement or expectation. Through curiosity and empathy, I can help you develop awareness in what lies beneath your difficulties. Growing awareness in this way helps you see your options differently - creating conditions for fresh insights and more choice. This is what makes meaningful, lasting change possible in your life.

My humanistic foundation means that at the core of the way I work, I deeply trust that you have the solutions hidden inside you already - my job is supporting you to find them so you can develop a way forward that suits you. I integrate approaches from Person-Centred therapy, which focuses on autonomy and self-actualization, Gestalt therapy, which emphasises awareness of the present moment, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which examines the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. You may like to set and work towards goals, or perhaps take each week as it comes, our sessions are tailored to suit you.

In my practice I work with adults from diverse walks of life. I have particular experience working with anxiety, depression, miscarriage, baby loss and supporting women through pregnancy but welcome clients from all backgrounds and life experiences.

If you know what you need, or aren’t sure yet, but know you need something, talking to a counsellor is a great place to start! It is widely understood that it is important for success to find a good fit with your counsellor, so I offer the first session (1 hour) at half price, so we can explore whether we’d work well together - please get in touch via email, text or phone to book your initial session!

I currently have availability on Wednesday daytime hours.

I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours on weekdays. If you reach out over the weekend, expect to hear back from me promptly on Monday.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
