About me

Hi my name is Rob Edminson and I am a qualified Person Centred Therapist (PCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) for children and adults.

I have been practising counselling PCT & CBT since 2020. I have previously worked for over 20 years with children and adults with complex needs in residential and educational settings. I have experience working within family settings and mediating between families.

I offer a free telephone or video consultation in the first instance.
Appointments are either face to face, telephone/video or you can request walk and talk appointments which take place in the community accessing therapeutic outside spaces like Roker, Seaburn, Whitburn coastal paths, Tunstall Hills, Herrington country park. Meeting points will be agreed prior to sessions and consists of mainly flat surface walking. All appointments are available from 7am until 8pm on agreed days.

  • Advanced CBT Therapy March 2021
  • Mental Health Level 3 2021
  • HNC Care Management Level 4
  • NVQ level 4 in Care
