About me
I will offer you a confidential and non-judgemental space where you can discuss anything that’s bothering you, whether it’s big or small. I will encourage you to improve your Emotional Intelligence by giving you the tools to help you understand, use, and manage your own emotions in a helpful way. These tools will help alleviate stress and will give you the ability to communicate more effectively, empathise with others, help build self-confidence, improve your relationships, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.
I'm a qualified counsellor offering short or long term therapy to anyone who may be experiencing challenging times, thoughts and feelings. After studying Psychology for three years at University I went on to gain a diploma in Counselling. I've worked with a wide range of issues gaining experience from the NHS Bereavement Service, MIND Mental Health Charity and the Adlerian Society of Wales.
I work in accordance with the BACP Code of Ethics and keep up to date with regular Continuing Professional Development and Supervision.
What to expect
The first session will involve getting an overview of what is troubling you. Together we can take it step by step to narrow down what the main issues that encouraged you to seek help. We work collaboratively to ensure that you are getting what you need out of each session. We can get to know each other and can decide at the end of the first session if we want to continue to working together.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
