About me
Hello! My name is Rebecca,
Thank you for visiting my profile.
Starting counselling can be nerve-wracking, in our sessions I will create a calm, safe and non-judgemental space for us to explore together what has led you here.
Counselling is a form of talking therapy which provides an opportunity for you to talk about any issues or problems you are facing, it can help you to gain clarity and a new perspective or understanding of yourself and your life experiences.
I am a person-centred counsellor. This means that I hold the belief that you already have within you the capacity to change. My role is to provide the conditions for this change to occur. Imagine a plant, all plants have the capacity to grow but not without the right soil, water, light and nourishment. I would be privileged to be alongside you in this process and create a nurturing space for you to grow. I won’t guide you or tell you what to do, I will listen, hold space and be non-judgemental.
Feel free to visit my website or email me to find out more about working with me.

I have experience working with anxiety, low mood, depression, work and relationship challenges, grief and loss, self-esteem, self-injury, and suicidal ideation.
I also hold a Mental Health Support role in a mental health charity, part of my role is to facilitate groups and offer ‘psycho-education’ courses. I believe everyone should be able to access the information and support they need to understand and help themselves.
I have also been a volunteer and working counsellor at a young persons charity for the past 2 years.
