About me

I am a person centred integrative counsellor. No matter what has brought you here my goal is to support you as you make sense of your experiences. Life can throw up really tough challenges, you do not need to face them alone. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, any, and everything that makes your experience unique. I work with many diverse areas of need examples; anxiety and depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, neurodiversity diagnosis. I offer short and long term counselling.

I use somatically informed techniques and exercises alongside talking therapy to support making connection with how the body is holding and reacting to emotions. These simple yet effective exercises are designed to support your nervous system as we process stress and trauma. I work collaboratively to ensure a technique is right and comfortable for you.

Through my own experience with bereavement I found comfort and guidance through integrative counselling. It gave me the space to explore and make sense of tangled emotions. That was done years ago. I have trained and become a counsellor to provide that same unconditional support to others.

I offer short term counselling of six to twelve sessions and long term open ended counselling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
