About me

I am a Person Centred Counsellor, registered with the BACP, working within the Welshpool Area. I offer counselling to individuals and couples from the age of 18 upwards. Sessions are available Face to Face or via Zoom or Teams, Telephone or outdoors.

I offer a safe place for you to openly talk about and explore whatever you choose to bring to counselling.

My Approach

With the person centred approach focusing on valuing you as a whole person, in a non judgemental, empathic way, I aim to facilitate your exploration of issues your way.

I offer a reflective, non directive approach whereby I look to understand you from your world of experiencing, helping to facilitate therapeutic change within a professional relationship built on trust and openness.

I believe you are the expert in your world and that I am helping you to explore that world and understand it for yourself. I have faith that you will move at a pace that is right for you and that you will bring to counselling what is needed without intervention from me. I will bring my naturally curious, warm and caring personality which aids me in really getting to understanding you and your world.

I have experience working in the prison service and local charities and have 19 years experience working as a youth worker.

My experience in these areas has taught me that people like to feel heard, listened to, understood and accepted regardless of age, sex, culture or social status.

I am a qualified Person Centred therapist at degree level and hold all current insurances, ICO registered, qualified first aider and DBS Checked. I am a registered member with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

What my clients say about working with me:

"Natasha has helped me learn the benefits of being present and connecting to myself in a way that I have not been able to before"

"I found allowing my body, using movement in therapy, helped to explore what I was feeling without having to use the mental energy of processing information which was really helpful"

"I appreciated each and every session for the insight and understanding I was able to walk away with"

"The use of movement to explore in therapy was an amazing experience and a fantastic alternative to talking therapy"

"Natasha has helped me understand my past and find ways to cope with the future"

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
