About me
Hi, I’m Mishal – A Counsellor Who Keeps It Real
Life can be messy, complicated, and unpredictable—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer a space where you can be yourself, speak openly, and feel truly heard—without judgment or pretense. Whether you're facing stress, relationship struggles, self-doubt, or just trying to figure things out, I’m here to support you with honesty, warmth, and a real-world approach.
I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, keeping things practical, relatable, and, most importantly have meaningful conversations that lead to real change.
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I blend various therapeutic elements in my work with clients such as psychodynamic, person centered and CBT. I aim to work with clients in a holistic manner taking into account their individuality, their past and understanding their uniqueness. This flexibility enables me to address a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship difficulties and personal growth. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.

Men's Issues: I am committed to supporting men's mental health and recognise that it can be harder for men to open up about their challenges and struggles due to society's unrealistic expectations of masculinity. Whether you are experiencing personal emotional challenges, work stress, relationship issues or just want to talk about your mental health, I am here to listen and support you.

Anxiety/Social Anxiety: Anxiety is a natural emotional response to perceived threats or stress. It is characterized by feelings of worry, nervousness, or fear. Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
