MBACP Accredited Counsellor.

About me

BACP Accredited Qualified Counsellor,

Specialities: Individual Therapy, CBT, Couple and Relationship Therapy and Counselling Support for Student Trainees.

I am an accredited  qualified counsellor committed to providing safe, ethical, and evidence-based support. Accreditation means that my work meets recognised professional standards, and that I adhere to a strict code of ethics, ongoing supervision, and continued professional development. This ensures that my clients receive high-quality, accountable, and up-to-date care.

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. I also support clients with issues such as work-related stress, burnout, and patterns that may be holding them back from living more fulfilling lives.

In addition to individual therapy, I am a couples counsellor, helping partners improve communication, rebuild trust, navigate conflict, and strengthen their connection. I provide a balanced and supportive environment where both individuals feel heard and understood.

Alongside my clinical work, I also provide support for counselling trainees who require an accredited counsellor for placement, supervision requirements, or professional development support. I understand the demands of training and offer a grounded, supportive space to help trainees grow in confidence, reflect on their practice, and meet professional standards.

My aim is to offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and work towards meaningful and lasting change.

Availability: Flexible online and in-person sessions to suit your schedule.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
