About me
I believe that seeking counseling is a positive step towards improving mental health and overall well-being.
I support Individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress. Sometimes major life changes, such as divorce, career change, or loss of a loved one, can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate alone. Counseling can help you gain better self-awareness, improve self-esteem, and work towards personal development goals.
When I think of how empowering therapy can be, I often think of this quote "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes" MARCEL PROUST
Approach to Therapy
My approach to therapy is integrative, meaning I blend various therapeutic elements in my work with clients such as psychodynamic, person centered and CBT. I aim to work with clients in a holistic manner taking into account their individuality, their past and understanding their uniqueness. This flexibility enables me to address a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to relationship difficulties and personal growth. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and strive to create a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.
Therapeutic Specialties
Relationship Issues: Providing clients with skills/techniques to resolve conflicts, improve communication, or strengthen their relationships. In addition our therapy sessions can explore past trauma, attachment styles and how they interfere and impact current relationships.
Self-Esteem and Confidence: Supporting clients in building a healthier self-image and boosting confidence.
Stress Management: Teaching techniques to manage and reduce stress effectively.
Trauma and PTSD: Offering a safe environment for clients to process and heal from traumatic experiences.
Work and Career Stress: I provide a specialized form of therapy focused on helping individuals navigate their professional lives. It aims to support people in making informed career decisions, overcoming work-related challenges, and achieving professional fulfillment.
Anger Management: Providing CBT techniques to understand, manage, and express anger in healthy ways.
Bereavement: Offering compassionate support and guidance for those grieving the loss of a loved one.
Anxiety Anxiety is a natural emotional response to perceived threats or stress. It is characterized by feelings of worry, nervousness, or fear. If your anxiety interferes with your day to day life, then talking therapy combined with CBT can help you develop coping mechanisms and tools to enable you to live a more fulfilling life.
Chronic Illness or Pain: Dealing with chronic illness or pain can be mentally and emotionally taxing, and counseling can offer support and strategies for coping.
Experience
I have extensive experience working with diverse populations in various settings, including private practice, community organizations, and educational institutions. My work has provided me with a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals face and the best ways to support them in their journey towards mental health and personal growth.
Therapeutic Environment
I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is warm, empathetic, and respectful. My practice is a space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative relationship, where clients feel supported in their journey towards self-discovery and healing.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
