About me

How Can Therapy Help?
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, especially when life feels challenging or overwhelming. Therapy offers a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional.

Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of what may be affecting your wellbeing, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and explore meaningful ways forward. Therapy can help you gain clarity, build resilience, improve relationships, and make positive changes that support a more fulfilling life.

Why Choose Me?
I am a UKCP-accredited Transactional Analysis psychotherapist and supervisor with over 15 years of post-qualification experience working with adults, children, and young people in private practice, educational settings, and the voluntary sector.

I offer both in-person and online therapy, providing a flexible service tailored to your individual needs. My approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental, creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

I work with a wide range of emotional, relational, and psychological difficulties, adapting therapy to meet your unique circumstances and goals.

Areas of Experience
I support clients with:

Anxiety, panic attacks, and overwhelm
Depression and low mood
Trauma and recovery, including childhood and adult sexual trauma
Relationship, family and parenting difficulties
Bereavement, loss, and grief
ADHD, autism, and neurodiversity
Low self-esteem and self-confidence
Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and imposter syndrome
Life transitions and personal change
Women's wellbeing, including fertility, pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause
Young people's wellbeing and student-related challenges
Work-related stress and burnout

My Approach
I work primarily using Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy, a relational approach that helps us understand patterns in thinking, feeling, and relating to others. By exploring these patterns together, we can gain insight into current difficulties and create opportunities for lasting change.

I also draw on a range of evidence-based approaches and ongoing professional training, allowing me to adapt therapy to your individual needs and goals.

What to Expect
I offer a free introductory phone call, followed by a no-obligation initial session.

Our initial meeting provides an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss what you hope to gain from the process, and consider whether we are the right fit to work together.

Finding the right therapeutic relationship is an important part of successful therapy. If, during our discussion, I feel that a different therapist or therapeutic approach may be better suited to your needs, or if my availability does not align with your requirements, I will be happy to discuss alternative options and referral pathways with you.

How Long Will Therapy Last?
I offer weekly or fortnightly sessions. The length of therapy varies for each person and will depend on your needs, goals, and circumstances. We will regularly review our work together to ensure therapy remains helpful and relevant.

Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to arrange an initial appointment or have any questions.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
