About me

As your therapist, I offer compassionate, professional counselling in a safe and confidential space. My goal is to support you through life’s challenges, whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, or family issues. I started my journey to become a counsellor in 2015 after years of working in health and wellbeing, driven by a deep passion for helping others. My own journey, shaped by the transformative power of therapy, mentoring, and coaching, fuels my belief in the potential of counselling to improve lives.

How I Can Help

Life’s challenges, whether it’s anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, or family issues, can often feel overwhelming. My integrative approach combines person-centred, humanistic, and psychodynamic models, along with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to meet your unique needs. Therapy isn’t just for crises; it’s a space where you can process your thoughts, gain clarity, develop better coping strategies, and improve relationships. My role is to empower you to explore your feelings, overcome obstacles, and take meaningful steps toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. Whether navigating everyday stress or deeper issues, I’m here to support your journey forward.

What to Expect in a Session

In our sessions, you can expect a confidential and supportive environment where your concerns are heard. I provide both face-to-face counselling in a central location in Cambridge and online counselling, offering flexibility to suit your needs. My primary aim is to listen and help you explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I am committed to inclusivity, ensuring clients know that my practice is a safe space for all backgrounds and identities. And I have worked therapeutically with people from a wide variety of cultures, ages and backgrounds.

My Approach to Counselling

My integrative approach blends person-centred, psychodynamic, and ACT models. This allows me to tailor my therapeutic methods to suit your individual needs, helping you gain insights and develop coping strategies. I believe in the power of a therapeutic relationship where clients can feel understood and supported, and benefit from this warm non-judgemental environment.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. My background includes a range of training in physical and mental health, and I have worked in both charity settings and private practice with diverse clients. I also maintain regular supervision to ensure the highest standards of care.

If you’re ready to take the first step, I’m here to support you on your journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
