About me
Hello and welcome,
Please know that seeking help is a sign of strength. I am here to support you and walk alongside you on your journey in achieving a more peaceful, fulfilling, meaningful and balanced life.
I am a BACP Registered Counsellor, deeply committed to supporting my clients in their journey to overcome emotional challenges, reduce emotional suffering, increase self-awareness and enhance their overall well-being.
My counselling services are available through in-person, online or telephone sessions. I also offer "Walk and Talk" therapy sessions in and around Tunbridge Wells.
I work with adults and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, respecting cultural and individual differences and offering a non-judgemental and welcoming environment.
Values and Philosophy:
My guiding principles centre around the belief that every human being possesses the capacity for positive change and personal growth and is “good enough”. My practice is grounded in empathy, respect, and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of my clients.
Approach to Counselling:
My approach to counselling is deeply rooted in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and has a strong emphasis on a client-centred and personalised approach. I specialise in Person-Centered, Gestalt, and Existential therapies, which means I create a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental environment for you to explore your feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
I genuinely believe that every human being has the capacity for positive change, self-awareness and personal growth. I adapt therapy to the unique needs and preferences of my clients while developing a trusting and empathetic client-therapist relationship.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling - (Dunamis Therapy Hub)
- Certificate in Counselling - (Dunamis Therapy Hub)
- Foundations of Modern Psychology and Research Methods - (Birkbeck University Faculty of Continuing Education)
In addition to my private practice, I have experience of working in a hospice setting providing support to patients and carers facing end-of-life issues and to bereaved families, helping my clients navigate and express complex emotions related to grief and loss.
Furthermore, I have worked with the charity MIND where I have supported clients with a wide array of complex mental health concerns.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Creative Counselling:
In addition to traditional therapeutic approaches, I offer creative counselling techniques such as using art, writing, sand tray or visualisation and other creative mediums to help my clients express and explore their emotions and thoughts. Creative counselling offers self-discovery and deep self-awareness, emotional expression, and healing, providing a unique and holistic approach to therapy.
Walk and Talk Therapy:
These outdoor sessions allow my clients to explore their thoughts and emotions while engaging in physical activity outdoors. As a former Forest School practitioner, I believe that spending time outdoors and in nature is beneficial for our mental health and overall well-being. It's an excellent option for those who find nature and movement enjoyable and conducive to self-exploration and growth as well as those who may find the indoor talking therapy sessions too formal and intense or those who may find being in indoor spaces difficult.
