About me
Hey there! I'm Luke, the founder of MyMeaning Therapy. As an integrated therapist, I combine various approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and humanistic methods, such as Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Emotional-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gestalt Therapy. I offer therapy sessions online, over the phone, and in person.
A bit about me:
I've done a lot in my time as a counsellor. In South Korea, I taught kids and helped expats deal with loneliness, depression, and anxiety. In Romania, I worked in an orphanage, supporting children and adults who faced trauma and rejection. I've volunteered with many charities, providing counseling to caregivers and key workers post-COVID who were feeling sad and stressed. At Childline, I helped many different ages share and explore their ADHD, low self-esteem, and family issues during the pandemic. While studying, I also worked in hospitality, which showed me how important it is for everyone to feel seen and valued.
On a personal note, I've also faced significant losses, like losing my mum to cancer and going through tough breakups that left me feeling lonely and unwanted. These experiences have shaped my understanding and empathy, and I’m always learning from life's challenges.
So, what's the main point?
I've learned that we all need holistic support because we're complex beings. I don’t believe in a passive approach to therapy. Instead, I have real conversations about what it means to be human and understand our emotions. In our sessions, I create a safe space where you can express your emotions, thoughts, and feelings without judgment. It's in these vulnerable moments that true transformation happens, as we explore the darkest parts of our psyche and confront parts of ourselves we've long ignored. With empathy and support, we can embrace change and recognize our inherent worth.
How does it all work?
It's not just about what we talk about; it's how we talk about it. As Albert Einstein said, "We can't solve our problems with the same thinking that created them." To truly understand our experiences, we need to tune into our feelings and emotions, kind of like the characters in Pixar's "Inside Out," listening closely to what they are trying to tell us, to both express and experience them.
I get that opening up to a stranger, even online, can be daunting. But I take this seriously and am grateful for the chance to walk alongside you on your journey. Your safety and feeling seen are my top priorities, which is why I tailor our conversations to meet your individual needs.
Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I wish you all the best on your therapeutic journey. I’m here whenever you're ready to take the next step.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
