About me
Hello and welcome to my profile. I am a fully qualified therapist, currently offering short term and long term therapy online to clients across the UK and internationally.
As a fully qualified counsellor, I can support you as you explore your internal world and experiences in your life so far.It may be that you're coming to counselling to process a difficult life event, explore your past, reach towards your goals or better understand yourself and your experiences.
Whichever of these sounds like you, I offer a trusting, empathetic and non-judgmental space where you can grow in self awareness and work through the content you choose to bring to counselling.
I am an integrative practitioner, which means I draw on several counselling approaches to inform my work with clients. My hope for counselling is for you to experience meaningful change in areas of your life that are causing you distress and suffering. We will do this by exploring thoughts, feelings, experiences and beliefs in the present and the past that may be making life challenging.
I work with adults on a weekly basis. Currently my working days are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Please get in touch or arrange a free introductory call to discuss how we can work together.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP registered Psychotherapist / Counsellor. As well as experience in counselling adults in short and long term psychotherapy, I have also worked with adolescents and children.
I have worked with a wide range of presenting issues including (but not limited to): loss, bereavement, anxiety, depression, stress, self harm, changing life stages, low self esteem, identity issues, relational difficulties, spirituality.
Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked for an international development charity, with particular focus on women who have experienced gender-based violence. I have also worked with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities both in the UK and abroad.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free initial 15 minute phone call which gives you a chance to hear what I sound like, and ask any initial questions you might have about the process of counselling.
From there, we will arrange to have an initial 50 minute session. The aim of this first session is for you to determine whether we are a good fit to work together. I will ask you some questions - some of which may feel personal - which help me to assess whether I am able to provide you with what you need. I also welcome your questions you might have for me and the way I work.
If we both decide that we are a good fit to work together, we will decide on a time and day to meet weekly.
