About me

My name is Lisa, and I hold a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Counselling &  Psychotherapy and I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP).

My approach is warm and friendly and I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental space, in which you can feel heard and understood. My training is in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, which means I work relationally; recognising your unique value and tailoring my approach to suit your individual requirements.

Working at a pace that suits you, I will sit alongside you as we gently uncover the root of your difficulties.

There are so many reasons why people seek counselling. Some are feeling lost, anxious, stuck or depressed. Others are experiencing relationship or family difficulties or just want a greater understanding of themselves.

Whatever you are feeling right now, I recognise that finding a therapist can be a daunting task, so I encourage you to get in touch for an informal chat, so I may answer any questions you may have.

I have worked with a diverse range of clients offering support with abuse, anxiety, bereavement, depression, domestic violence, low self-esteem, rape, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse, stress and general well-being.

I hold face-to-face appointments in my therapy room in Grantham, a purpose built, secure, and nuturing space. I also offer online or telephone support.

Please feel free to give me a call to find out more about how I work and check my availability. As mentioned above, I welcome any questions that you may have and feel this is an important opportunity for you to gauge our potential of working together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
