About me
You may be feeling lost in the aftermath of painful relationships - disconnected from who you are, unsure of what you need, and exhausted from trying to hold it all together. Maybe you’ve spent years putting others first, silencing your own needs, or shrinking yourself to stay safe.
This is the hidden weight of relational trauma. It doesn’t just leave wounds, it leaves you feeling like you don’t know where you belong anymore.
If you feel isolated, trapped in familiar patterns, or overwhelmed by emotions that feel too heavy to carry - you are not alone. And a fulfilling life after trauma is possible.
I work with people who are carrying the silent pain of relational trauma - including domestic abuse, attachment wounds, and childhood trauma; and who are yearning to reconnect with their authentic self.
Together, we create a space where you can begin to feel safe in your body, heard in your truth, and supported as you gently untangle the patterns that have kept you stuck. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you - it’s about coming home to yourself.
In our work together, I can help you:
- Recognise and honour your needs, without guilt
- Set boundaries that reflect your worth and protect your energy
- Let go of people-pleasing and self-abandonment
- Rebuild trust in your body, instincts and inner wisdom
- Create relationships that feel safe, mutual, and aligned
This is a shift from surviving to living - from disconnection and self-doubt to empowered, authentic connection with yourself and others.
The relationship we build together is at the heart of this work.
I offer a warm, compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome - especially the ones that have been ignored, criticised, or hidden. I show up as my real self in the therapy room, in the hope that in time, you will feel safe to do the same.
I offer both online sessions and face-to-face therapy in Doncaster (DN3), depending on what feels most supportive for you. However we meet, my aim is to walk alongside you with care and honesty, helping you feel safe enough to explore, feel, and grow - at your own pace.
If you're longing to feel more like you again - more grounded, more connected and more free - I’m here to help you take that next step. It would be an honour to walk alongside you on your journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
As an accredited member of the BACP you can be confident that I have met the highest standards for training, experience and ethical practice.
Qualifications:
I studied counselling and psychotherapy for six years and hold two degrees, including a Master's-level qualification. My formal training includes:
- MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (Distinction)
- Including Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma - BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy: Principles and Practices (First-Class Honours)
Experience:
My background spans both private practice and specialist settings, with a strong focus on trauma, abuse, and relational issues. I’ve worked with people facing complex emotional pain, helping them move toward safety, connection, and self-understanding.
- Volunteer Psychotherapist at Women’s Aid
- Providing long-term, trauma-informed therapy for women affected by domestic abuse - Mental Health Practitioner on a government-funded wellbeing programme
- Offering tailored emotional and psychological support to individuals in employment - Integrative Counsellor in private healthcare
- Supporting clients with a range of presenting difficulties through both short-term and long-term therapy - Private Practice Psychotherapist
- Specialising in relational trauma, including abuse and attachment wounds, offering both depth and flexibility in the support
How I Work:
I’m an integrative therapist, which means I draw from multiple approaches to suit the unique needs of each client. My work is primarily informed by:
- Attachment Theory
- Person-Centred Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
This integration allows me to work holistically - considering your past experiences, present challenges, and future hopes; to support lasting and meaningful change.
Alongside talking therapy, I also integrate somatic practices into my work - gently supporting you to reconnect with your body as a source of safety, wisdom, and healing. Trauma is often stored not just in the mind, but in the nervous system. Through grounding techniques, body awareness, and nervous system regulation, we can begin to process experiences that may feel "stuck" or overwhelming, helping you feel more present, regulated, and at home in yourself.
My practice is rooted in trauma-informed, relational therapy, and I have particular experience supporting individuals who feel disconnected from themselves, unsafe in relationships, or weighed down by past experiences that continue to impact daily life. Together, we’ll work gently to re-establish safety, process what’s been carried for too long, and move toward greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
A Final Note:
I believe in the power of showing up authentically - in life and in the therapy room. I’ll always meet you as my real self, so you feel safe enough to do the same. Our relationship is a vital part of the work, and I’ll walk alongside you with honesty, compassion, and respect every step of the way.
If this resonates, I invite you to take that next step. Reach out, and let’s begin the journey back to your true self - together.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
