About me

I am an integrative trained Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered Member of BACP working with adults, children and adolescents. My approach is rooted in empathy, non-judgment, and collaboration, drawing from person-centred therapy, psychodynamics, Gestalt therapy, and CBT. I have a special interest in Mindfulness and Coaching, which I incorporate into my practice too.

Are you feeling anxious or angry and don't know why? Do your worries hinder your plans preventing you from achieving your goals? Are you feeling sad with a sense of no purpose in life? Do you feel stuck and overwhelmed in any area of your life? Are you holding back from relationships?

My therapy mission is two-sided. On one hand, helping individuals to feel more connected with themselves. I promote healing and personal growth, helping individuals to better understand themselves, their values, and their life purpose so that they can take control of their lives and make positive changes. This could be done by working through past trauma, managing anger, changing habits that are causing distress, building up resilience and healthier coping mechanisms for dealing with life's challenges, reflecting on goals and priorities, and fostering a greater sense of self-awareness and self-acceptance. On the other hand, supporting individuals to feel more connected with others, nature, and the world around them. I focus on improving the quality of life and relationships whether with a partner, family members, friends, or colleagues. This could involve learning better communication skills, cultivating resilience, resolving conflicts, and deepening emotional connections.

I offer therapy in English and Italian. My work is culturally and linguistically sensitive. I provide sessions either face-to-face or online.

Training, qualifications & experience

- MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy for children, Adolescents and families, University of Roehampton

- Certificate in Wellbeing coaching (level 3), Emerging Housing

- Diploma in Gestalt Counselling, Sig

- MA in Theoretical, Moral, and Political Philosophy, University of Macerata

I have varied working experience in corporate, non-profit, private, and educational settings which made me understand the challenges of each sector. Having had 3 career changes made me empathise with how difficult it is to find a fulfilling pathway and the frustration that goes along. I moved country and I can understand the challenges of loneliness and looking for connection. Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked for several years as a Dyslexia tutor and specialist mentor supporting students with disabilities (sensory loss, physical health, and mental health difficulties), ADHD, ASD, and Specific learning difficulties (dyslexia and dyspraxia) whilst they are at college/university. I can understand the impact that SpLds and ADHD might have on self-esteem and the repercussions of mental health difficulties on everyday life. I currently manage school-based counselling services in London alongside my private practice. My work with children made me connect more with the inner childhood unresolved dynamics of my adult clients.

My areas of expertise include abuse, domestic violence, neglect, narcissistic relationships, life transitions, Dyslexia, ASD, ADHD, trauma, parenting, stress, career change, family conflicts, relationship issues, anger management, lack of motivation and focus, low self-esteem and self-worth, and anxiety.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
