About me
Hello, my name is Kirsten I am an Integrative Psychotherapist.
As an integrative therapist, I am able to draw upon various theoretical approaches, adapting each session to individual client needs.
My approach will focus on unconscious processes and I will work with clients to bring about self awareness and understanding of the influences of the past on your present behaviour.
I have also undergone extensive Transactional Analysis training, which can be helpful for clients wishing to explore their social and relational interactions in depth. Transactional Analysis (TA) can help clients to get more in touch with their unconscious, so as to allow them to understand how they think, feel and behave the way they do. TA is a powerful tool for understanding and improving human relationships.
In addition to my adult work, I am also qualified to work with Children and Young Adults and I currently provide counselling support to young adults, both in private practice and in a school setting.
The problems that I have worked with include:
- anxiety
- depression
- loss
- bereavement
- relationship difficulties
- anger
- low self esteem and confidence
- trauma
- self esteem
This is not a full list and it may be that you are unsure of what is bothering you, but you feel you could benefit from a confidential and non judgemental space to enable you to make sense of it all.
Whatever your situation may be, you don't have to go through it alone and we can work together to find the best approach for your needs.
I can offer each client a free 30 minute online introductory session to explore the challenges you are facing and to allow you to make an informed decision. In later sessions, I will work with you to establish tasks and goals of the therapeutic relationship in order to facilitate greater understanding so that you feel able to explore at a deeper level.
Sessions can be either face to face or online in Weybridge & East Molesey.
I am fully DBS checked.
My sessions cost £60 per 50 minutes.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

MY MODEL
As an Integrative Therapist I believe the past informs the present and recognise that individuals think, feel and react differently. My integrated therapy model incorporates different ways in which I am able to work with clients to enable them to bring about change in their lives.
I offer face to face counselling in the Surrey area (West Byfleet & Weybridge). I can also offer online counselling sessions.
MY COMMITMENT TO YOU
A contained therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client is imperative to the healing work of therapy. Deciding to see a therapist can feel difficult at times, which is why I will work with you during the first session to set out the tasks and goals of our therapy sessions together.
