About me
Hey there, I'm Kim (she/her), a dedicated and empathetic Humanistic Counsellor with a heartfelt passion for assisting individuals on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
Life can throw some tough stuff at us, right? I get it and I'm here to provide a safe, judgment-free space for you to figure it all out. Having seen the ups and downs alongside cancer patients and their families at MacMillan and through my work at a suicide bereavement group, I've got a unique perspective on the emotional rollercoaster life can be.
Some of the things I have worked with:
- Coping with cancer diagnosis and treatment
- Managing emotional distress and anxiety
- Grief, loss, and bereavement
- Self-esteem and self-acceptance
- Exploring life transitions and identity
What is a session with me like?
The relationship between client and counsellor is one of my main priorities and it is so important you choose the right counsellor for you. So, if you are wondering what a session with me is like, I'm all about Humanistic Therapy, which means you're the star of the show. I'm here to listen, understand, and offer a hand to hold while you unpack those thoughts and feelings. You are the expert in your own life and hold the answers within, it’s my job to support and empower you to find them. I pride myself on creating a safe space where you can be your authentic self, free from judgement and share at your own pace. I can also work in an integrative way, using techniques from other types of therapy if needed meaning you will have a unique experience tailored to you and your needs.
How it Works
Whether you prefer virtual or face-to-face, I've got you covered. Sessions usually run around 50 minutes and we can find a time that works for both of us.
Life's a journey – and it would be an honour to be part of yours. If you're ready to take the first step towards healing, and growth, let’s connect. Your story matters, and it would be a privilege to hear it.
If you think we might be a good fit, please feel free to get in touch for a no obligation conversation. If I’m not the counsellor for you, I wish you the best of luck – I am sure you’ll find the right person.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
