About me

This is the place I’ve created where together we can look at your unique path to creating your happier self. I offer person centred counselling for a variety of issues in person, on the phone, and via zoom; this is a safe place to put the jigsaw back together and get an idea of the bigger picture of your life.

As an integrative therapist, I’m not here to judge you or overwhelm you with homework and goal setting, I’m simply here to understand you, empathize with you, and help hold the pain you may be feeling right now. I don’t believe you need to change, no one needs to change, I fully believe you’re already doing the best you can. But it never hurt to explore what’s holding you back, you might find it surprising just how much change can come from being truly understood and accepted.

Together we can look at how you’ve come to think and feel the way you do, whether that’s something you still think and feel or if there’s another way to become even more at peace with yourself and the issues you are facing.

I also provide level 5 clinical hypnotherapy. These sessions are more focused and look at changing your subconscious thoughts to make your mind less resistant to the changes you want to make. This is done through hypnotic meditation using a script I will write specifically for you. Hypnotherapy is extremely helpful for anything psychological you want to change, this could be fears and phobias (heights, rejection, self-esteem), it could also be habits (weight loss and smoking! ) Effects can be seen as soon as 1 session!

If you get in touch for a free consultation I will be more than happy to explain the process of what I do and what I can help with. The first step is always the hardest, feel uncomfortable and do it anyway. You are worth it.

My sessions can be tailored to work best for you, if that’s weekly, fortnightly or even just a monthly check in session to have the space to vent. I will do my best to meet your needs. In person, phone call or zoom!

It’s not often we give ourselves the time or space to really sit with ourselves and it can be so much harder to do it on your own, so together we can carve out the space you need in this world.

(Please email me with your name and some times, I'll be able to provide my number to hold a free initial assessment)

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Level 3 Counselling Skills
  • Level 4 Counselling Diploma
  • Level 5 Clinical Hypnotherapy Diploma
  • TISA VISA (Trauma Informed Suicide Awareness)

I currently work with an organisation specifically for women. My experience is broad and I have helped people from many different diverse backgrounds overcome a variety of issues. This includes but is not limited to, exploring religious beliefs, domestic abuse, relationship issues, weight-loss and self esteem. I have experience with probation and criminal history, childhood trauma, bereavement, sexual trauma, self harm, alcoholism and other addictions. I could expand further but feel that no matter what the issue is, everyone is completely different in their experience.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
