About me

get in touch now if you need a therapist who is passionate about supporting children, teens and adults. Alongside supporting neorotypical clients, In recent years I have worked extensively with people who are neurodivergent, have Autism, ADHD and ODD. If you are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, distress, are overwhelmed or you are dealing with a difficult life event then we can work together towards a solution, whether this be self-care, someone to listen to you, moving from stuckness or filling your mental health toolbox with healthy strategies to manage.

I create a bespoke therapy package of support for you. This means that I would like to get to know a bit about you, so that we can tailor make a package of therapy that will meet your needs now and into your future.

I work with children, young people, adults and families. I offer you a safe space to explore the difficulties you are having. I offer this in a non-judgemental way and with empathy.

I have knowledge of working with Neurodiversity and with people from the LGBTQA+ community and Trans people.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified person-centred therapist and cognitive behavioural practitioner. I also offer solution focussed therapy. I can work with you in a very creative way if this is something you are interested in.

I am currently employed as a children and young persons counsellor for a charity and I am trained as a therapist for adults. I am offering you counselling via my private practice: mindflow.

I have worked with Anxiety, Anger, Depression, loss, sadness, grief, change, ageing, menopause, retirement, transitioning events and difference. I have worked with people who have experienced Domestic violence, childhood trauma or adverse childhood experiences, traumatic events, health issues, people from the LGBTQA+ community and trans people. I have also worked with selective mutism.

Person-centred therapy is a talking therapy that allows you to discuss anything you would like. It is flexible and allows you to go at your pace and I will not lead you.

CBT is a more directive approach, allowing us to look at thoughts and behaviours and to make change. It has a goal from early on and you would be required to do some homework.

Solution-focussed therapy means you have a goal that you wish to achieve. We would be creating an action plan of your goal/goals and working out how best to achieve them.

Creative therapy means we can use Art, crafts, music, signs, cards, beliefs to help you to express how you are feeling.

I can also offer an eclectic style of therapy which might include two or all of the above. I will always keep in mind not to overwhelm you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
