About me

Hello and warm welcome to you,

There can be a big difference between knowing something and feeling it is true. You may know you are a worthy human being but you simply not experience it in your everyday life. It may be that no matter what people say to you about yourself, it's never enough to fill this gap inside you. I work with issues related to low self-esteem and low self-worth. It may feel tough or impossible right now but together we can explore the complexities of self-perception and help you build a stronger sense of self-confidence.

You may feel anxious all the time and be aware of your anxiety or you may be constantly fatigued and exhausted. It's possible that you suddenly feel tearful or even breathless and cannot compose yourself. It might be a constant undercurrent of a tense feeling in your body and mind and it has a significant influence on your life. By digging into the reasons behind anxiety and how it shows up in different ways, we can chart a path toward feeling more inner calm and well-being.

My counselling approach

As a therapist, my approach is grounded in a deep commitment to helping you navigate the journey of finding your authentic self. I believe that true freedom and life satisfaction come from a good understanding of oneself and the ability to live in alignment with your genuine values and desires.

I work is integrative which simply means that I combine different traditions and techniques to support you. I value Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and Compassion based approaches, Attachment, and Somatic based techniques. Our past experiences imprint in our emotional bodies, informing our feelings and interpretations of everything around, and within us.

If you resonate with these themes and are seeking someone to accompany you on your path toward self-discovery and healing, I invite you to embark on this transformative journey with me as your therapist. Together, we will navigate the complexities of identity, authenticity, freedom, and satisfaction, fostering growth and empowerment along the way.

How does it work?

To begin, you can reach out to me by emailing me or booking an intro zoom call at the top of this page. After I receive your message, I'll get back to you within a few days to set up a short, free 15-minute chat on Zoom. In this chat, we can talk more about what you've already shared and you can ask me any question you have. It's a chance for us to explore the possibility of working together, and there's no obligation to continue if you decide it's not the right fit. Feel free to use this brief session as an opportunity to check in with yourself and begin the process.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
