About me
Hello and a warm welcome,
I offer online therapy across the UK and Europe, as well as in-person and outdoor sessions in Sheffield.
There can be a big difference between knowing something and genuinely feeling it. You may understand that you are worthy of care and respect, yet still carry a deeper sense of not being “enough” as if you just need to try harder. No matter what others say, the gap inside doesn’t quite close.
I work with adults who struggle with low self-worth, chronic self-criticism, anxiety, emotional fatigue, and relational or identity-related challenges. This can include questions of belonging, cultural in-betweenness, or navigating life as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive and self-reflective. On the outside, they manage. On the inside, they often feel tense, scattered or quietly ashamed.
You may feel anxious much of the time and be aware of it, or you may feel constantly exhausted without fully knowing why. It’s possible you suddenly feel tearful or breathless and struggle to compose yourself. There might be a constant undercurrent of tension in your body and mind, shaping how you move through your life.
If you feel pressure to be perfect or heroic, know that I see you. Life’s challenges, and for some, experiences of marginalisation or cultural in-betweenness, are already exhausting. When self-criticism becomes your internal voice, it pulls you further away from yourself.
Together, we explore where these patterns began and how they continue to shape your relationships, identity and sense of belonging. The aim is not to “fix” you, but to help you develop steadiness, self-trust and a more compassionate inner relationship.
How I work
My approach is integrative, relational and trauma-informed. I draw from several frameworks, but what matters most is how this feels in the room.
- Compassionate Realism: I combine empathy and honesty. You will feel supported, but I will also gently help you face patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
- Understanding Pain: I value authenticity and genuine connection.
- Mindfulness and Awareness: We pay attention to what happens in your body, thoughts and emotions in the present moment. This helps you ground yourself and slowly shift long-standing patterns.
- Cultural understanding: nuanced understanding of identity, belonging, feeling connected and at home.
- I am trauma- and shame-informed in my work.
My qualifications and background
I am a qualified counsellor with over 5 years of experience. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling, and I use the following frameworks in my day-to-day work with clients:
- Attachment and Body-based Framework - to connect with yourself/ others and your physical experiences
- Transactional Analysis (Psychodynamic) - to explore unconscious processes and break the patterns of communication with ourselves and others
- Mindfulness and Compassion Awareness - to help cultivate present moment awareness and self-compassion.
- Nature and Outdoor Integration
If you resonate with these themes and are seeking someone to accompany you on your path toward self-discovery and healing, I invite you to embark on this transformative journey with me as your therapist.
Together, we will navigate the complexities of identity, authenticity, freedom, and satisfaction, fostering growth and empowerment along the way.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
