About me

I am a qualified integrative counsellor with experience in providing support for a range of issues, including anxiety, anger, stress, depression, abuse, addiction, relationship problems and self-esteem. My approach is firmly rooted in understanding your unique individual needs, recognising the importance of tailoring our sessions to address your specific challenges and aspirations.

I have experience in collaborating and working with individuals from a diverse background, cultures, and communities.

As a dedicated counsellor, my foremost commitment is to create a confidential, non-judgmental, and nurturing space where we can collaboratively explore your thoughts, emotions, and the challenges you may be facing.

I bring a versatile and personalised approach to our sessions, drawing from different therapeutic approaches. This allows me to tailor our sessions specifically to meet your unique needs and personal goals.

My professional journey began in community and professional sports settings where I undertook various roles involving mentoring, coaching, and management. I also have enjoyed playing football for many years, therefore am aware of and understand the challenges and pressures that occur in these environments, which can include struggling with identity, coping with pressure, lacking confidence, and having self-doubt.

In addition to the work, I do in my private counselling practice, I also have experience in working with young Black men and boys, as well as marginalised and vulnerable Black children, families, and individuals aged 12 to 25, addressing various issues such as mental health, emotional well-being, education, employment, training, stability, and diversion from the criminal justice system.

I am registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

If you have any questions, I offer a free 15- minute call back which you can easily book here. Alternatively, you can give me a call on 07960 355520 or send me an email.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

I provide an initial, complimentary 15-minute consultation to facilitate an open conversation about the reasons motivating your decision to seek counselling. This preliminary discussion allows you to gauge the therapeutic dynamic and determine if you find our dialogue suitable before making a commitment to work together.

In the first official session, we will delve into your therapeutic objectives and aspirations, exploring the transformations you intend to effect during our collaborative therapy journey. This will serve as a foundation for our work together.

Additionally, we will address critical aspects of the therapeutic process, including confidentiality and the terms outlined in our collaborative contract. Your understanding and comfort with these matters are integral to the effectiveness and success of our work.
