About me

With over 20 years experience both nationally and internationally,  Juliet works with adults, children, teenagers and couples.

Counselling and psychotherapy offer an opportunity to talk through your concerns and feelings in a safe, confidential, caring and non-judgmental relationship while exploring some of the underlying factors which may be contributing to current problems. The first meeting offers the chance for us to meet, talk through what has been happening and to see if this would be a good place for you to process what is concerning you.

Juliet works with all age groups from young children through teenage years to adults in short term counselling or longer term psychotherapy.  She also provides online sessions.

Counselling Psychology simply means Juliet has training in understanding the processes behind behaviours and how the brain works in relation to mental health.

Juliet is also a Brainspotting Practitioner.  This helps release stored trauma, and draw from the body's innate regulatory processes. For more information please visit www.bsp.co.uk

Short term Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is also available if appropriate to your needs.  A recent client offered this feedback of her experience: "Juliet has literally changed my life.  After a lifelong fear of flying I never thought at the age of 50 this was something I would be able to overcome. Working together through the anxieties, after only a few sessions I was able to take control and successfully made my first flight within three months. It has opened up so many new horizons for me and I would wholeheartedly recommend Juliet to anyone."

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
