About me
Hi there, welcome to my page,
I'm Josie, a CBT and Mindfulness Psychotherapist, and Lecturer in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy based in Manchester, dedicated to helping people become 'unstuck' from cycles of negative thoughts or behaviours.
Are you wanting a change, but unsure how to take the next step? I understand what that can feel like and I've spent my life specialising in helping people break free. I provide warmth and support in understanding where your cycles come from, and mentorship and guidance in how to break them. I use CBT and Mindfulness to treat long-term depression, low self-esteem, anxiety disorders (such as OCD, GAD, Phobias and Health Anxiety) and trauma focused CBT.
I have spent 8 years working across the NHS and third sector and have experience with both adults and adolescents from a wide range of communities and backgrounds.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
